Relationships Don’t Necessarily Take A Lot of Work

People will often say, relationships take a lot of work.

The problem with this is that they don’t specify what the work is.

It also isn’t strictly true. There are a number of factors that determine how much work a relationship needs.

How much work a relationship takes is directly correlated with how much honesty there is.

A relationship with honesty is simple. There isn’t the need to translate and decipher everything.

Everyone knows where they are. Each can choose to stay – or not – on the basis they agree. When something changes they can work it out simply.

It isn’t as much that relationships that take work. It’s that lies, whether they’re intentional or not, that create and cause work.

Mistrust is the biggest barrier to love.

What aren’t you telling your partner?

What aren’t they telling you?

That’s where your work is.
